I would slam one of these and DD the hell out of it. Looks like someone already has (minus the suspension drop)

These are SO rare. And, SO wrong that it feels right.
I’ve only seen them come up on the sites very, very occasionally.

AMG Tech (an Oppo) has one I think.

Listed on Bring-a-trailer? Price is going to be crack pipe.
Neat vehicle, but the maintenance costs have got to be catastrophic.

Doesnt it have air suspension? Drive it long enough and you dont even have to drop it yourself!

Catastrophic isn’t strong enough of a word.

Fuck that dude and his dealer. https://oppositelock.kinja.com/1791134432
Edit: to elaborate, fuck that dude for making such an enormous deal out of this just for the clicks. His horseshit experience and dumbassery has overshadowed what these cars are and blown the head bolt issue way out of proportion. Anytime one of these cars comes up in conversation, his car is the first thing that’s mentioned, and mentioned as i f it’s a guarantee that everyone with an R63 will have the same experience. All because this dude doesn't know how to use Google and his dealer is shitty.

Yes, air suspension.

No you're both wrong. I have an R500. Which is the non-amg V8.

I have an R500.

These are super rare. I've worked on way more SLS, CLK black series, and GT-R's than R63's!

Please forgive the error

Nope. Can't do that!

Meh, I was just using it to point out that you will need to do the h ead bolts and the AIRMATIC will eventually need repair and stuff from the MBUSI plant in the 2000s didn’t ave the greatest body electrical quality. Then there’s the $2,000 brake jobs. Great cars, just very expensive to run and beyond ruinous to fix if due diligence isn’t done.

All good points and accurate . Most of the electrical issues on this chassis are related to water intrusion in my experience. Typically due to shoddy repairs after accidents, or leaking taillight gaskets.
